A mythical peak near our hotel at Mont Ventoux
Nicknamed Mont Chauve for its bare stone summit, Mont Ventoux dominates the region with its imposing silhouette. This Giant of Provence culminates at 1912 meters of altitude, just north of Carpentras. With its magnificent panoramas and its 360° view on the region, it is an emblematic stage of the Tour de France. In good weather, you can admire a view from the Pelvoux massif to the Cévennes. Observe the Luberon, the Sainte-Victoire and even Marseille.
The Mont Ventoux offers 26,000 hectares of nature with exceptional flora, a wonderful playground for your walks and hikes.
Around the Safari Hotel Mont Ventoux, don't miss the numerous typical villages that nestle on the plain of the Comtat Venaissin. Visit the ancient site of Vaison la Romaine, Sault and its lavender fields or the Toulourenc valley and its perched villages.

The Mont Ventoux in summer
In the summertime, after having enjoyed the swimming pool of the Safari Hotel, go and discover the Mont Ventoux and its surroundings. At the foot of the mountain, stroll through the vineyards of the Côtes du Ventoux, follow the many marked hiking trails and GR and let yourself be charmed by the forests of beech and fir trees.
The Mont Ventoux can be conquered on foot but especially by bike, since this summit is one of the most mythical of the Tour de France. Cyclists love the challenge it represents and the magnificent scenery that the route offers.
Walking, biking, horseback riding or even paragliding... There are 1000 ways to discover the Mont Ventoux. One of the most beautiful is a night climb to watch the sunrise. Leave by car from the hotel and reach the summit around 5:30 am to see the first rays!
